What is the Beekman Rescue Squad ?
The Beekman Rescue Squad is a volunteer ambulance squad located in Beekman NY that has been serving the residents and business of this and neighboring towns for over 60 years. We are funded directly from community based donations, and do not receive a budget from the county or state. We operate primarily on donations from the public that we serve. It is your gifts that allow us to provide you, your family and your neighbors with pre hospital emergency and rescue services.
Our 25 volunteer person membership includes EMT's, Ambulance drivers and specially trained individuals that have completed New York State courses in special EMS operations. Being active in the community is an important part of our squad. Some of the community services we provide are Blood Pressure Screening (Monday Evenings 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm), Tours for groups, Speakers for clubs and meetings.
Additionally the fire fighters of the Beekman Fire Department that are trained in rescue and extrication whom we rely on, and the Beekman Fire Police who ensure safe traffic and pedestrian conditions at every call whom contribute to the service of the squad and community.
